Our collaborators

When Sea Us Rise – a not-for-profit organisation based in St Pete, Florida - came across Ellie Bowers-Jolley, Creative Director at The Come and Sing Company, in Lincolnshire UK, they had no idea what was about to happen.

After lots of discussions about the impact of music and its power to drive change, the idea of linking Boston UK and Boston USA through music, climate change activism and young people grew and, through the power of human connection (and a little help from the internet),  Sing to Change: Boston to Boston was born.

US eco-musician Dane Myers - friend and supporter of Sea Us Rise - had written the song ‘Change’ during lockdown in Florida, and its themes and message perfectly aligned with the ethos of the project. Sea Us Rise donated the money to get Dane’s song arranged for a choral production and Ellie and her UK collaborators secured funding from Arts Council England which has enabled the project to move forward.
